Liability for Injuries or Damages: Although the greatest of care is taken to prevent any injuries or damage from happening, it is important to remember that we are working with live animals and that accidents may happen. Owners are responsible for the actions of their pets and any injury or damage will remain their sole responsibility inside the premises as well as for walkabouts outside the school, or within your home.
Morningside K9 Academy will not be held liable or responsible for any injury, illness or damage in respect of any claims that may arise but will endeavour to attempt the prevention of any injury, illness or damage as far as humanly possible. Please also note that all dogs are to be kept on-lead and separated from each other unless otherwise directed by an instructor. It is of the utmost importance that you keep your dog under control at all times. No aggressive dogs will be allowed to enrol for training classes. I will not hold the organizers, instructors, sponsors or any of their employees, the property owners or any other party liable for any loss or injury whatsoever or death that may occur whilst attending the course.
Please ensure you maintain social distancing before, during and after the class. A mask or visor must be worn at all times.
Vaccinations and parasite control: To prevent the spread of any parasitic infestations or diseases, all dogs attending the puppy classes must be vaccinated and on a flea & tick control program. Please provide a copy of your dog’s vaccination certificate with your enrolment form.
Children: Until covid regulations change – only with permission can children watch the class and may not move around the ground or interact with anyone or pet any dogs or puppies. Masks to be worn at all times.
Hygiene: We encourage all clients to clean up after their dogs. A poop scoop or diaper bags are available for you to use. Animal safe sanitzer will be available on site.
Equipment: Clients must supply their own equipment. We prefer to train with “H” harnesses, soft but secure leads. If you do not have this, we will gladly advise you on the correct equipment to purchase. No choke chains, shock collars or prong collars may be used in class. We also do not recommend the use of these at home.
Owner Non-attendance at classes, rescheduling a class, cancellations due to weather & long weekends: Please let us know if you are unable to attend class 24 hours in advance you will then be able to swop and do a video on-line class or attend the next following week – or forfeit the lesson. No more than one class may be swopped in this manner. Any further classes not attended will be forfeited. If a class needs to be rescheduled because of weather or if Morningside K9 Academy cancels a lesson for any reason whatsoever, classes will then be extended with a lesson. Or the option to catch up with an online video class can be taken up. Please note that there will be no training over long weekends, but classes that fall on long weekends will consequently be extended with a lesson.
Cruelty toward your dog: NO jerking, smacking, hitting, kneeing or other forms of physical punishment will be tolerated.
Photo’s and video: From time to time we take photos during classes to use on our Facebook page and website. Please note that any images (photo’s or video) taken of clients or their puppies, remain the property of Morningside K9 Academy and are deemed to be used with your permission
